Tracey EmmsTracey serves as Bebegarten’s Deputy Head of Curriculum having been with the team since our opening Academic Year. She has worked with children from a variety of social, cultural and economic backgrounds globally in over 30 years as a Teacher, Practitioner and Manager. Such settings include: schools, hospitals, a women’s refuge and outreach programmes for children with special educational needs.
Grace MerrittGrace serves as Bebegarten’s Under 3’s Coordinator and is excited to continue supporting Bebegarten children in their varied classroom experiences and appropriate developmental stages.
Kathy WongKathy was born and raised in Malaysia and graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a B.A. Hons in Teaching Mandarin as a Second Language and obtained her National PSC Mandarin Proficiency Certification in China.
Anne CarrollAnnie was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Graduating from the Ohio State University with a B.A. Hons degree in Communications - she has more than 9 years’ experience working with children under three within Hong Kong international schools.
Annie FungAnnie was born and raised in Hong Kong and holds a B.A. Hons in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art and Design, London, UK and serves as Bebegarten’s Visual Arts Director.
Charming PauCharming was born and raised in Hong Kong before going on to spend her high school and university years in Toronto, Canada. She graduated with a B.A. Hons degree in Health Studies from McMaster University, Canada and spent 3 years as a behavioural therapist working with children on the Autistic Spectrum and any other developmental delays before going onto graduating a Master of Public Health Degree at the University of Hong Kong. Her multi-cultural education has shaped her experience in catering to a truly global curriculum at Bebegarten and Charming looks to allow all children an opportunity to enhance their potential through exploration, play and close guidance.
Danielle WhiteheadBorn and raised in the UK, Dani is returning to Hong Kong for a second-time having been enchanted by Asia’s world city in 2013. She has diverse experience across the Early Years in both professional and higher education capacities, having gained her Early Childhood Studies B.A. Hons degree from Sheffield Hallam, UK, in 2012 and since expanding her practice to work with children from 3 months to 6 years old.
Lauren BlackBorn in Hong Kong and having grown up as an International School student here, this marks a return for Lauren to Bebegarten having been a teacher with us during our Summer School in 2013. Lauren is experienced across all of Bebegarten’s age groups, having been teaching for the past 9 years in varied settings around Hong Kong and the UK.
Marco IannelliMarco serves as Bebegarten’s Artistic Director and is an Italian composer, musicologist, conductor and music educator - honoured with numerous international composition awards and his work can be heard around the world. Such career highlights include the role of Artistic Coordinator for the supporting events during the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
Miriam MaMiriam joins Bebegarten with a wealth of experience as a performer and practitioner of multiple disciplines. As a Bebegarten Artist in Residence, she will be inspiring our children to fulfil their passions as budding music, drama and singing enthusiasts.
May HendersonMay joins Bebegarten from an inclusive school in Thailand and will serve as our Learning Support Coordinator, in house Speech and Language Therapist and an Early Years Class Teacher. Born and raised in the UK, May has amassed a wealth of classroom and casework experience with includes working with a wide range of children with speech, language and communication needs.
Natasha PearsonBorn and raised in the UK, Natasha is overjoyed to be returning to Hong Kong with Bebegarten having been captivated by the cultural landscape here during a year of Kindergarten teaching in 2011-2012.
Rachel ZhaoBorn and raised in China, Rachel moved to Hong Kong in 2011 to continue her studies and direct her focus towards Early Years learners. Having previously gained a B.Sc. in Applied Psychology, Soochow University, China, it was her decision to pursue her M.Ed. in Educational and Developmental Psychology, Hong Kong Institute of Education, which aligned her focus towards the developmental and educational milestones of children from 6 months to 6 years old.
Sarah MulcahySarah was born in London, England, and spent much of her early life in the London borough of Hampstead. At the age of ten she moved to Cork, Ireland, and continued to enjoy a carefree and happy childhood. Having lived in Hong Kong for many years, moving in 1990 with her husband and building a family of her own, she now considers it her home.
Shaun HandfordBorn and raised in the UK, Shaun was inspired to work within the Early Years after becoming an Uncle in his teenage years and only wanting the best experiences for his Niece and Nephew. A focus on Early Years studies followed and culminated in a B.A. Hons degree during his time with the highly reputable Pre-School Learning Alliance, UK.
Tracy AuTracy was born and raised in Hong Kong before moving to the UK for her secondary and tertiary education. She holds a B.S. Hons degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia, UK and a Master of Science degree in Environment, Science and Society from the University College London, UK.
